2. Overview

TintDeck is an app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac for managing, creating, and analysing colour palettes. The app works locally on your device. TintDeck uses no account of its own and no Halwick Labs server. Halwick Labs does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data through TintDeck. Optional sync and purchases run through Apple services that you control.

3. Data stored on your device

Your palettes, collections, colours, names, notes, tags, and imported files are stored locally on your device. This content is yours. Halwick Labs has no access to it. You can view, edit, and delete it in the app at any time.

4. iCloud sync

If you enable iCloud sync, the palettes you create sync across your devices through your private iCloud. This sync uses the private CloudKit database in your personal iCloud account and is provided by Apple, subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy. Halwick Labs operates no server for this and has no access to the content you store in iCloud. You can turn sync off at any time in your iOS, iPadOS, or macOS settings.

5. Photos, camera, and screen captures

To extract colours from images, TintDeck may — with your permission — access selected photos, the camera, or screen captures. Images are processed only locally on the device to determine the colour values they contain. TintDeck does not upload these images or send them to any server. You can change or revoke this access at any time in your system settings.

6. App Store purchases

TintDeck offers a one-time purchase to unlock additional features. Purchases are handled through the App Store and Apple’s StoreKit. Payment and billing details are processed by Apple; Halwick Labs receives no payment data. To check purchase status, the app processes only the purchase information Apple provides, on the device.

7. No data collection and no tracking

TintDeck uses no analytics or tracking services, no advertising, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party data-collection SDKs. No usage or diagnostic data is sent to Halwick Labs, and your colour data is never sold or shared with third parties.

8. Permissions and control

You stay in control of your data: you can change or revoke iCloud sync and access to photos, the camera, and screen captures at any time in your system settings. In the app you can delete individual palettes; removing the app deletes the data stored locally. Content synced to iCloud is managed through your device’s iCloud settings.
